I’ve been with Medical Design since 2002. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and have worked as a manufacturing engineer and as a product development engineer.

I am an FEA engineer carrying out a project on spinal injury with prosthesis implants. at the moment I am struggling to find out a way of converting a CT Scan images of the spines into a 3D model for use as a FE model. the geometry will be meshed and used for the analysis.

QUESTION. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A WAY OF CONVERTING CT SCAN IMAGES INTO A 3D DRAWING OR MODELS FOR FEA ANALYSIS?

Any info or help would be gratefully received.

I am in no way a medical person! In fact I am a retired 72 year old with a medical problem you maybe could give or find me information on!
Is there such thing as a medical scanning laser that can scan the inside cavities of a persons mouth and send such readings to a machine to cut out a mould for the manufacture of 'False Teeth'! I am one in a million who can't stand that horrible gunge they fill your mouth with and I have to suffer with broken teeth and large gaps! They can scan the surface of mars to a mm but can't make a set of false teeth! With todays technology surely it can be done!

never had any Spinal cord injuries but I did have heavy muscle spasms after a motorcycle accident years ago. caused me terrible depression and erectile dysfunction. This forum has helped me find allot of info, I usually take Levitra for my ED and buy levitra from my local pharmacy but i wish I could get my back pain meds online.
