A clothes manufacturer is using SmartSilver anti-odor and antimicrobial protection in its next hunting, footwear, and outdoor-products line. SmartSilver is a nanoscale-engineered additive designed to give permanent anti-odor and antimirobial protection to fibers and fabrics and is made by NanoHorizons.

The textile technology can also be applied to medical equipment.

SmartSilver has the antimicrobial power of silver without any of the typical challenges of using silver in textiles. Additives include anti-odor nanoparticles that are evenly dispersed and permanently bond to fibers ranging from natural cotton to an array of synthetic blends.
